There were morsels aplenty at New York's Chocolate Show, from freshly roasted chocolate beans to strawberries dipped to order into a chocolate fountain. But it was the non-edible confections, such as Swedish chocolatier Hakan Martensson's gothic sculptures, that captured the lion's share of attention.

Martensson creates chocolate artwork that he says can last between 10 to 15 years in the right conditions (no extreme temperatures and no moisture). Prices range from $500 to $2000, and in a new twist on giving chocolate to your loved one, he takes special orders for portraits made out of chocolate.

Though the sculptures are not edible, Martensson's Fika chocolates took home Best in Show for a Bailey's Irish Cream-infused chocolate. See the video.
