Jennifer Lopez Loves Glee by Elva Ramirez

Jennifer Lopez's trademark dewy skin earned her the nickname "J.Glow" some years back. Now the man responsible for Lopez's fresh-faced beauty has published a book with makeup tips for all women. Scott Barnes' "About Face" features Lopez on the cover and at the book launch party at the Hotel Gansevoort's Provocateur last night, the pair gushed about their longtime friendship, which dates to Lopez's second video."We're not just people who work together, we're best friends. It's a deeper relationship than that," Lopez said.

Rumors are swirling that she may be headed to Fox's "Glee," but the pop star denied them, protesting that the first she's heard of a guest spot was on the red carpet. "I don't know. I've heard this from other people," she said, pointing towards the scrum of cameras. "I'm a huge fan of the show so we'll see. I'd love to. You know me, I'm a huge fan of musicals."

Sensing an opportunity, we asked Barnes what women of all ages could do to look younger. "If you're going to use a bronzer, don't put it up next your nose or next to your eyes because it will make yourself older," he said. He pointed to the space under the eyes and the fold around the mouth, saying those areas gets darker with age and bronzer would only heighten, not hide, the problem.

As for the longstanding debate over whether red lips makes women look older, he said there was nuance to wearing red lipstick. On the one hand, you can result in "zipper lips" if not done correctly (he advised glossy, moist lips). But he also said that with the right attitude, wardrobe and complexion, women (Gwen Stefani, for example) could wear red lipstick with panache.
